Strip of bobbin lace with flying birds between flower pots on tables

Strip of natural-coloured bobbin lace, flowerpot lace. The strip runs slightly round. The repeating pattern consists of two different flower pots, both on small tables. Between the successive bouquets flies a bird. The bouquets are strongly stylized, where splitting and curling flower branches form a kind of clouds, or lobed oval cartouches. In the largest 'cloud' stands a carnation, with above it a rosette flower. The motifs are connected by a mesh ground. The motifs are made in linen stitch, with thicker and shiny contour threads. Various decorative grounds are applied, including a snowflake ground. Top and bottom edges are finished straight, with one of the sides finished with picots.
