Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace: Beveren lace. The repeating and symmetrical pattern consists of a cone-shaped flower pot with two curved branches, each bearing two plume flowers, and below that a larger hanging flower with a fan of petals. In the oval center between the branches stand three circles on straight stems. Between the successive pots, along the upper edge, hangs a small cone-shaped flower pot with three rosette flowers and directly below that an oval between leaves with a crown on top. The motifs are connected by a fine lattice ground, a tulle ground. The motifs are executed in linen stitch with large cutouts and thicker contour threads. A rose ground is applied as decorative ground, and at some places a decoration is realized by overlapping pairs. The top and lower edges of the strip are finished straight. A seam runs across the width at the end of the strip.
