Strip of bobbin lace with a spherical flowerpot and strawberry-shaped flower

Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace: Beveren lace. The repeating and symmetrical pattern consists of a spherical flower pot with two rosette flowers in the center and, on each side, a curved branch with a strawberry-shaped flower facing the pot. Between the successive pots, along the upper edge, stands an oval with a crown and directly below that an egg-shaped motif wrapped in narrow leaves. The motifs are connected by a fine lattice ground, a tulle ground. The motifs are executed in linen stitch with large cutouts and thicker, shiny contour threads. A rose ground is applied as decorative ground, and at some places a decoration is realized by overlapping pairs. The top and lower edges of the strip are finished straight.
