About this work
Japanese strip of natural-colored appliqué lace, bobbin lace and needle lace applied on machine-made tulle. A thin, oval flower and leaf garland, asymmetrically built, but with symmetrical medallions at the top and foot, alternates with a deeply sagging garland with mesh filling. Inside the oval stands a tied bouquet, above the garland a single flower branch. Only the ground above the oval is filled with flower branches. Deep, three-sided scallops with a symmetrical reserve with mesh filling are, under the garland, flanked by reserves with crest-shaped leaves. The strip consists of two parts joined running around each other.
