About this work

Handkerchief with a border of natural-coloured bobbin lace: fine Bruges flowerwork. Around a four-lobed linen cloth a border is attached, which in the middle of the sides cuts through the lobes with a flower and a leaf. The lace has a two-sided symmetrical pattern on a plaited ground. In the corners stands diagonally an oval, from which four curved stems sprout, among others with a trefoil and blossoms.
