About this work
Strip of natural-colored applied lace, bobbin lace and needlepoint lace applied to machine-made tulle. Against a background widely scattered with small flowers, closed worked shells are alternately filled with a pear-shaped medallion with violets and a circular arch with a flower branch. The pear shape is surrounded by a floral wreath with a small flower branch at the top. The branch above the circular arch is swirled in a C-shape and shows two large hanging cup-shaped flowers, a wild rose and an anemone (both of needlepoint lace) and hanging bells.
