Handkerchief with a border of needle lace with eight ovals and eight circles

Handkerchief with a border of natural-coloured needle lace, Brussels gauze lace. Around a large cross-shaped batiste centre runs a narrow lace border with eight deep scallops, the closing pieces of which are formed by eight ovals. The corner scallops each show two circles standing one above the other. The scallop border consists of a leaf branch and a border of leaves, which form the scallops. Small, hollow C-scrolls form the inner border.
