About this work

Around a cross-shaped batiste center piece runs a lace border with a ground of ice ground. Two profile bands filled with meshwork, in straight and round parts, frame a fine mesh ground, on which diagonal shells stand. In the corners stands a small rosette between three hanging lilies and a fine scroll. Mechlin lace.
