About this work

Handkerchief with a border of natural-colored needle lace, Brussels gauze lace. Around a cross-shaped batiste center runs a broad lobed lace border. Along the outer sides, a fine mesh ground is bordered by hollow C-scrolls with wheel edges, alternated with relief friezes. The inner border is formed from hollow and full C-scrolls. In the corners, on the mesh net, are sprigs of forget-me-nots.
