Handkerchief with a border of needle lace with twelve ovals

Handkerchief with a border of natural-coloured needle lace, Brussels gauze lace. Around a diamond-shaped, batiste centre piece runs a wide border of lace with deep scallops, filled with a rose with double, applied leaves. The closing pieces consist of twelve ovals, which are decorated with a crest of leaves. The edges of the scallops show among other things a wheel border and a row of heart-shaped leaves, which form the scallops. The inside consists of hollow and convex C-scrolls.
