About this work

Handkerchief with a border of natural-coloured needle lace, Brussels gauze lace. Around a large, cross-shaped centre runs a narrow, partly open, partly closed can border. On this stand four diagonal ovals, which are connected by a wavy pearl string. On the open part stand leaf rosettes and flower sprigs of plantain. The closed outer border consists of wheels with godron border and leaves. The inner border is formed by hollow and convex leaf scrolls.
