About this work

Strip of natural-colored mixed lace - mezzo punto - with a bobbin or woven ribbon and a needle lace ground. On a mesh ground (needle lace) stands a pattern consisting of broad curling stems with exotic flowers. The contours of the flowers and stems consist of bobbin or woven ribbons. Within the contours various decorative grounds (needle lace) are applied. A bobbin scalloped border serves as finishing along the outer sides.
