About this work

Strip of natural-colored mixed lace: mezzo punto. The strip is intended for a superplie and features a symmetrical pattern of volute vines, with rosette flowers, fan-shaped flowers and acanthus leaves on a hexagonal mesh ground (needle lace). The contours of the pattern are formed by a bobbin lace ribbon with holes. Various needle lace ornamental grounds are within the contours. Strip with three seams. The top edge is finished with a straight border. The underside and sides are edged with a straight border of bobbin lace with picoted arches.
