About this work
Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace, Buckingham lace. The repeating pattern consists of a row of linked trefoils, which hang straight down from a stem. Above the trefoils runs a very narrow band made with a mesh ground, a net ground. Below that the strip consists of an ornamental ground, a rose ground in which the trefoils are made with thick and shiny contour threads. A very narrow strip forms wavy, under each trefoil a semicircular shell, which is finished with picots. The top side of the strip is finished straight.
