Strip of bobbin lace with a series of different oval shapes

Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace, Buckingham lace. The continuous pattern consists along the bottom side of the strip of a series of different oval shapes and some heart-shaped leaves. The motifs are connected at the top by a mesh ground, a net ground. The motifs are made in linen stitch with thick and shiny contour threads. As an ornamental ground a rose ground is applied. The top side of the strip is finished straight. The shell edge along the bottom side is finished with picots.
