About this work

Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace, tape lace. The repeating pattern consists of a loose diamond in zigzag shells. The diamond is made in linen stitch, in a mesh ground, a closed pin ground. Along the zigzagging lower edge runs a band in linen stitch, with a thick contour thread at the top and provided with picots at the bottom. The top edge of the strip is finished straight.
