About this work

Strip of natural-coloured bobbin lace. Worked with coarse thread. In a mesh ground, a Parisian ground with coarse meshes, a repeating pattern was made in linen stitch of two alternating rhomboid compositions. A narrow band along the upper side of the strip was made in net stitch, this is also the finish of this long side. Along the shells runs a wider band, made in net stitch. The short sides are cut off.
