Strip of bobbin lace with V-shaped motifs and zigzag shell edge

Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace: strop lace with motifs in oblique net stitch, also called 's Gravenmoerse lace. The repeating and symmetrical pattern consists of a V-shaped motif made in net stitch, with parallel below the left leg a rectangle in linen stitch. The triangular fields above each V are filled with an ornamental ground of blocks made in net stitch. Below the V the field consists partly of a rose ground. The top of the strip is finished straight. Scalloped edge at the bottom of the strip consists of pointed scallops formed by a zigzag path in net stitch. The points are 'uncared for' because at the end of each round no extra twist was given to the running pair.
