Strip of bobbin lace with a three-lobed leaf between two rosette flowers

Strip of natural-coloured bobbin lace: fine Bruges flower work. The pattern consists of a three-lobed leaf between two rosette flowers. The motifs are connected to each other by a braided band along the top side and with each other by some picoted braids. The straight band and the three-lobed leaf are made in linen stitch, with contour threads within the openwork edges and with cut-outs as leaf veins. The petals of the rosette flowers are made in net stitch with contour threads and the flower hearts are made in linen stitch, with in each openwork centre one block made in form stitch. The top side of the strip is finished straight. The flowers and the leaf form the shell edge along the bottom side, which is finished with picots.
