About this work
Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace: Eastern European lace. Pattern with a continuous swirling ribbon forming whimsical flowers. The ribbon is bobbin-laced in linen stitch with openwork edges and fairly coarse cutouts. The motifs are connected to each other by double braids with picots. In the flowers a round Valenciennes ground is applied as decorative ground. The top is finished with a straight bobbin-laced band. The shell edge comes from a swirling ribbon that forms semi-circular shells at regular intervals and is finished with picots.
