Strip of bobbin lace with salmon-pink checks

Strip of colored bobbin lace: strap lace. The colors used are salmon pink and natural. The pattern consists of two salmon pink zigzag-lines in a further natural-colored whole. The salmon pink zigzag-lines cross each other and form in that way over the center line of the strip probably a chain of rhombus-shaped fields. The strip is however short, so that only one rhombus-shaped field is complete, flanked on two sides by a half rhombus-shaped field. In the complete field stands a flower with twelve petals made in form stitch. Above the zigzag a trellis ground is applied: a strap trellis ground. With a narrow band in linen stitch a smaller rhombus-shaped field is formed in this with in it a small pointed oval. Under the zigzag stand fan-shaped fields, made in linen stitch, which form a flat shell border. The top side of the strip is finished straight.
