Strip of bobbin lace consisting of two pieces with different patterns

Strip of bobbin lace, Binche lace. The strip consists of two strips sewn together with different patterns. The pattern of one strip consists of two symmetrical compositions, identical to the pattern of BK-NM-13249. The pattern of the other strip consists of obliquely placed drop-shaped cartouches with feathered leaves, alternating with rosette flowers and peonies. For both strips it applies that the motifs are connected by a lattice ground, a five-hole ground. The motifs are made in linen stitch with cutouts and openwork edges. In the cartouches, between the flower stems and in the flowers ornamental grounds are applied, in particular snowflake grounds. The top and bottom sides of the strip are finished straight, with the underside provided with picots.
