About this work

Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace: Cluny lace. The repeating and symmetrical pattern consists of diagonal bands bobbin net stitch, which form three rows of diamond-shaped fields and a top fourth row with triangular fields, half diamonds. The middle field row is filled with diamonds in linen stitch in which a cross is made with small cutouts. The half version of this stands in the top row. The other fields are filled with a five-hole ground and has in the center a flower with eight petals bobbin shaped stitch. The half-round scalloped edge is formed because the diagonal lines are rounded here. The scalloped edge is finished with an arch edge formed by a strongly twisting braid with picots.
