About this work

Jug of stoneware on a ring foot with a hexagonal, globular body and a wide neck. The C-shaped handle is attached to the neck and shoulder. Partially covered with cobalt blue. On the body an incised and blue-colored decoration of six medallions with a stylized flower. Around it stamped stars cut out in blue. The neck is divided into three bands: stamped flowers, an indented, oblique zigzag line (knibis) and stars. Lahntal, Westerwald.
