About this work
Stoneware jug on a high foot with a narrow neck, ovoid body, and a pinched spout in the rim. The C-shaped handle is attached to the neck and shoulder. Partially covered with cobalt blue on the glaze. On the foot and neck some incised lines. The jug is decorated with a relief decoration where the belly is largely covered with printed, applied flower vases against a blue background. On the neck under the spout a modeled mask is attached. Westerwald.
