About this work

Strip of natural-coloured bobbin lace: Old Flemish lace. Symmetrical pattern with among others two flower stems bending towards each other with on the convex side a branch with a flower directed to the other side. The motifs are worked in linen stitch with openwork edges. They are connected to each other by a very sparingly used and irregular lattice ground. Top and bottom edges are finished straight.
