Two labourers

Outside by a slanting wall of stone blocks, perhaps the corner of a fortress wall, stand two young men. The man on the left wears a double-folded hip cloth (veshti, lungi) down to the knees; a shawl (chadar) hangs over his right shoulder and is also wrapped around his waist and tucked in at the waist. The man on the right leans with his back against the slanting wall. His left leg is raised with the foot against the wall and the knee forward. He wears a hip cloth (veshti, lungi) down to the knee, and a cloth (chadar) over his left shoulder. Both men are from South India and worked in Colombo on the reconstruction.
