About this work
A soldier, full-length, facing right, holding a musket (a specific type of firearm) with both hands in front of him, the barrel pointing upward, to bring it to his left side. In his left hand, besides the barrel of the musket, a fork (musket fork) and a burning match. This print is part of the series of 43 hand-numbered prints of musketeers in the Wapenhandelinghe.
