About this work

Model of the lower part of a mast just above the deck, on a baseboard. The mast consists of two parts with a flat round disc at the end, placed on top of each other. A wooden clamp band with iron springs on the inside and a brass bracket around it holds the mast parts together. A wooden ring with holes, probably for cove nails, is attached above the clamp band around the mast.
