Model of a Gunlock (Percussion)

Wooden model of a percussion lock, designs for NG-MC-707, NG-MC-708 and NG-MC-710. In principle they are identical; the difference lies in the shape of the lock plate, which varies according to the artillery for which the lock is intended. The lock plate must be mounted on the right side against the lock elevation with two bolts running through it, and two screws in the cock. The hammer rotates at a right angle to the barrel. The hammer head has a groove for the flame from the touchhole when fired. A hole for the firing cord is provided in the stock, and a disc in the lock plate through which the cord is led backwards.
