Model of the stern of a ship of the line of 84 guns. Technical model demonstrating the construction with cross-bracing by Sir Robert Seppings, on keel blocks on a baseboard. Rounded stern with seven wales on which five short quarterlights on each side. No galleries indicated. Two hawseholes for double rudder posts. Five decks: forecastle deck, two gun decks, half-deck and quarterdeck: the gun decks and the half-deck have diagonal bracing in the web, the deck beams supported by brass knees. Thirteenth-part frames with cross-bracing. No skin, but senten.
