Man Tormented by Conscience and Despair and Finding the Grace of God

Two biblical allegories in architectural framing. To the left Man is tormented by the personifications of Conscience, who sits on top of him and Despair, who beats him with a whip. To the right Man, tormented by the personifications of Death, Sin and Despair, turns to God, who appears with open arms in a cloud and calls Man with his grace.
