About this work

Christ sits in the temple on a throne. He explains the scripture to the scribes. Joseph and Mary enter the temple and find their twelve-year-old son among the scholars. Letters stand next to various elements of the scene. Above the image a title. Below it six lines of verse and a reference to Luke 2: 42-46. The print is part of an album.
