About this work
Two pages with 37 pasted and labeled (205-288) samples of individual vignettes and emblems of gold- and silver-colored metal paper on the left. On the opposite right page, a table with handwritten corresponding specifications (in code) per ornament. Part of the sample book donated by the Van Rijn ladies, presumably from a French manufacturer of luxury papers, or his representative in the Netherlands, ca. 1830.
