About this work
Two pages with 12 pasted and labeled (294-234) samples of individual vignettes and emblems of gold-colored metal paper on the left (samples nos. 277 and 233 are missing). On the opposite right page, a table with handwritten corresponding specifications (in code) per ornament. Part of the sample book donated by the Van Rijn ladies, presumably from a French manufacturer of luxury papers, or his representative in the Netherlands, ca. 1830.
