About this work
A soldier, full-length, facing right, seen from the back, holding a musket (a certain type of firearm) with his left hand at his left thigh. In his left hand, besides the musket, a match; on his left wrist, a fork (musket fork). With his right hand, he pours powder from a powder measure into the barrel, which is angled upwards. This print is part of the series of 43 numbered prints of musketeers from the Wapenhandelinghe.
