Linen damask napkin with the history of the prophet Elijah. Central field: the symmetric pattern shows from bottom to top three scenes: 1 Elijah and the false prophets of Baal. On the side of a halved altar, which will not burn, with idols and inscription BAAL; in the center a burning altar with the ram and the inscriptions ELIAS and III REGU.CAPI.XVIII. Between them stands the gesturing prophet with folded hands and in priestly robes. Inscription MONS CARMELVS. 2 The flight of Elijah into the wilderness and sending to Mount Horeb. In the center a mountain, above which on both sides a flying angel, and at whose foot Elijah kneels; in one hand he holds a pitcher, with the other he brings bread to the mouth. Caption: ELIAS. Inscription MONS OREB. On the side a halved oak tree. 3 The Assumption of Elijah. On the clouds rides, directed toward the center, in the flaming chariot with fiery horses Elijah.
