Strip of bobbin lace with wavy vine and curling flowers

Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace: potter's lace. The repeating pattern consists of a regularly wavy vine or decorative band from which flowers and leaves spring. Halfway along each wave stands a flower with three petals in the decorative band. Leaves and always two flowers spring from this flower: under each wave peak curls a flower with five petals and a plume-shaped flower upwards, and in each wave valley two plume-shaped flowers curl into the field. The motifs are made in linen stitch with openwork edges and cutouts. The motifs are connected by a five-hole ground. In the wavy decorative band and between the flowers and leaves a snowflake ground is applied as decorative ground. In the decorative band net stitch is also applied as decorative ground. The top and bottom edges of the strip are finished straight, with the bottom edge provided with picots.
