About this work
Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace, Binche lace. The repeating pattern consists of a jumble of small motifs made with different grounds. The motifs are connected by an irregular ground, a snowflake ground. The sparse, very sparingly applied solid work is made in linen stitch with openwork edges. The underside of the strip is finished straight and provided with picots. The upper side is finished with a separately bobbin-laced band.
