The embroidery forms a broad, richly worked border in a circle on the square piece of batiste, finished with simple narrow hems. The pattern consists of four equal sections, marked by a rosette along the inner edge of the circle, to which an elongated loop points towards the corners of the batiste. Between the loops, the pattern consists of three symmetrical flower branches with three rosette flowers and two curling feathered leaves, and along the inner and outer edge of the circle provided with ornate, richly worked borders. In the openwork sections, needle lace decorative stitches are applied, forming small festooned picots, star flowers, and diamonds.
