About this work
Carriage parasol with a cover of black machine-made Chantilly lace with a pattern of flower branches, flowers, and leaves. Under the Chantilly lace, a lavender-blue taffeta. Lining of white pongé silk with a blind-stamped floral motif in the scallops. Partially openwork, twisted legs handle, with a steel ring halfway. The upper part of the shaft is made of lacquered wood. Ribs of dark wood. On top, a bone knob.
