About this work

Cap border of natural-coloured Brussels bobbin lace. A rivière with a mail ground is crossed by a branched twig with flowers and lance leaves, while on the fields with a fine mesh net a twig grows each time with a flower, the open heart of which is pear-shaped. The scallops are flat and show many medallions filled with grid work. By mistake a Mechelen and a Brussels cap border were joined together, while the matching second Brussels cap border remained separate.
