About this work
Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace, Cluny lace. The repeating pattern consists of a circle with spokes in a semicircular shell. The circle is a series of eight leaves, made in shape stitch. The spokes are braids that merge into a mesh ground, a knotted mesh ground, in the center of the circles. Along the top runs a straight band with smaller square meshes, finished with picots. Along the shells runs a band in linen stitch, which is finished at the bottom with an openwork edge with picots.
