About this work

Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace, strap lace. The repeating pattern consists along the underside of the strip of shell-shaped scallops placed against each other. Above the shell border is in the space between the fans always one rhombus placed. The rhombuses are made in linen stitch and are connected to each other at the top side of the strip by a trellis ground: a strap trellis ground. The ground is decorated with square mosses, made in form stitch. There are always four mosses in rhombus configuration between the rhombuses. The top side of the strip is finished straight.
