About this work
Strip of natural-coloured bobbin lace: strop lace. The repeating pattern is formed by a continuous wide ribbon worked in net stitch, that forms U-shaped shells. In each shell hangs a stylized branch straight downwards, with on both sides three leaves placed one under the other, six in total, made in shape stitch. The upper side is finished straight. Along the underside of the ribbon in net stitch hangs an open network of plaits, which finish the shells with triangles.
