About this work

Strip of natural-coloured needle lace, Venise plat. Pattern with richly branched curling vines with small various flowers on an irregular open ground with one-sided picoted bars. Filling with twisted buttonhole stitches with therein various motifs by means of cutouts. The upper side is edged with a border of bobbin lace. The lower side is finished with a straight picot edge with scallops.
