About this work

Sword with fire-gilded copper hilt, Louis XVI style. Pommel in the form of a female bust with helmet. Ornamented quillon, e.g. with lion heads. A mother-of-pearl plate on the partially metal grip. Half-quillon with lion head. Counter-guard with coat of arms trophy and lion heads. Back: small counter-guard with lion head. Three-sided blued and fire-gilded etched blade. Worn by Jhr. J.M. de Bosch Kemper.
