About this work
Young unmarried woman, walking to the left, with a Maltese dog under her arm. She is dressed in a robe à la Polonaise of 'indienne' (painted or printed cotton) trimmed with tulle. On her head a 'chapeau á Anglaise' trimmed with flowers and trimmed with black lace. Further accessories: chatelaines, heeled shoes with rosettes(?). Copy after Q 95 from series Q. 16e Cahier des Costumes Français, 10e Suite d'Habillemens à la mode, Gallerie des Modes et Costumes Français.
