About this work
A soldier, full-length, to the right, taking an arquebus (a certain type of firearm) from his left shoulder with his right hand. In his left hand, besides the stock of the arquebus, a lit match. This print is part of the series of 42 numbered prints of arquebusiers from the Wapenhandelinghe.
